On 23 January 2026, Vasant Panchami, the auspicious occasion dedicated to the worship of Goddess Saraswati, was celebrated with reverence at CIRS. Further, in the afternoon Smt. Vidhya Shah, an accomplished and renowned musician, conducted a three-hour music workshop on the Bhakti Movement in Music. With remarkable ease, she seamlessly wove together devotion, history, and melody, presenting compositions of Namdev, Amir Khusro, Surdas, and Kabir Das in a variety of ragas.
The workshop proved to be an enriching learning experience for the students, as her powerful yet melodious voice profoundly awakened the spiritual essence within all the participants.
