Staff Orientation Programme

January 3

CIRS organised a one-day workshop titled “AI in Teaching” for its faculty members on 3rd January 2026. The session was facilitated by a dynamic young team from ZOHO, who highlighted the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence in contemporary education.

The workshop offered valuable insights into how AI can transform teaching–learning processes by making classrooms more interactive, personalised, and efficient. Faculty members were introduced to innovative tools such as NotebookLM, Napkin, Ollama, and Khanmigo, which demonstrated AI’s surprising potential in lesson planning, student engagement, and assessment practices.

One of the most exciting aspects of the workshop was the hands-on exploration, where teachers experimented with creating their own AI-supported applications, including tools for answer evaluation and marking. Overall, the workshop was engaging, insightful, and highly useful, equipping educators with practical exposure to AI and reinforcing the commitment of CIRS to embracing future-ready educational practices.
